Whistler is just a week away! This is a little reminder for students to grab all their gear this weekend.
Students need to be well-equipped for cold and wet conditions. Don’t forget that everyone is required to wear a helmet while on the slopes!
For our one night at the Easter Seals camp in Squamish, all students will need their own sleeping bag. We are sleeping on beds in heated rooms. Students may want to bring a bathing suit for the communal showers. Pack light (it’s only one night away!), but make sure you have enough layers to stay warm. Don’t forget to check the Whistler equipment list on the blog!
In other news, all Mini School families will be receiving an invitation to this year’s Christmas Potluck, coming up on Tuesday, December 13, 2011! A huge thank you to all the students who came out to audition for Ms. Watts and Mr. Tuerlings. While selections were difficult, here are the four acts that will perform at our Potluck:
- Gr. 9 “Westcoast Express” – Olivia, Ryan, David, Nathan and Han
- Gr. 10s guitar and vocals Harvey and Chris
- Gr. 11 ballet solo by Candace Fan
- Gr. 11 vocal combo Sonali, Tasha, Joanne, Jordan and Reuben
If we’re lucky, we may even get a bonus song by the grade 12s!
We are looking forward to a busy and eventful December. Can’t wait to hit the slopes next week!
